Transparency matters. Here's how the D&I Workgroup operates.

Our Charter

The Diversity and Inclusion Workgroup was established by PSF Board resolution in November 2020.

Our Purpose: To further the PSF's mission to "support and facilitate the growth of a diverse and international community of Python programmers" and to provide guidance to the PSF Board of Directors in line with this mandate.

We are empowered to:

  • Make recommendations to the PSF Board on D&I matters
  • Conduct research and gather community feedback
  • Develop resources and best practices
  • Represent the workgroup in PSF and community spaces

How We Operate

Meetings

Monthly, open to observers

Decisions

Consensus-based; formal votes when needed

Reporting

Monthly written reports to the PSF Board

Communication

Slack, mailing list, and public channels

All workgroup activities are governed by the PSF Code of Conduct. We're committed to creating a harassment-free experience for everyone.
